From January 26th – 28th Kings Place will play host to three jazz stars. Over three nights Jay Phelps, Soweto Kinch and Alex Wilson will each play their own concerts and also collaborate with each other on stage.

Canadian-born Trumpeter Jay Phelps appears on the 26th to direct a suite for big band with special guests Gwyneth Herbert, Michael Mwenso and Dennis Rollins. The 27th sees Soweto Kinch take the limelight for his first appearance at Kings Place. He will be performing material from his new CD The Legend of Mike Smith (based on Dante’s Inferno/The Seven Deadly Sins) for the first time in London. And on the final night Alex Wilson presents a suite for kora, piano and strings, which was originally commissioned for the Harrogate Festival. In addition, Wilson will also be performing with his new trio.

More info and details on this unique weekend can be found on the Kings Place website.
